The FCA Group will pay out hundreds of millions of dollars to Tesla in order to get to compliance with European CO2 emissions norms for 2020, according to a Financial Times report. This will be necessary only until the electric Fiat 500 launches and allows Fiat-Chrysler to meet the standards.
